Chairman John W. Parrott, Jr.
John Parrott, Jr. started in McLean County politics in 1988 and was asked to
serve on the Central Committee in 1990. John has served in various Vice-Chair
positions. In 1999 he requested the Party implement a Constitution and By-Laws
which was passed. John has worked on energizing the Party over the years
helping many candidates get elected in McLean County.
Having served on many campaign committees, his most memorable was Peter
Fitzgerald for U.S. Senate.
One
of the larger events he chaired was planning for then, Gov. Bush to come to
Normal, IL in 2000 on a train stop with V.P. candidate Dick Cheney with the
great help of the local GOP Executive Committee and Precinct Committeemen. We
had over 10,000 in attendance!
John embraces the Republican Party Platform of Smaller Government, Lower Taxes,
Self Responsibility, and Fiscal and Socially Conservative issues. He is committed to the Republican Party core
principles:
1.
Strong military to defend America in the war against terrorism
2. Strong economy through free enterprise, tax cuts and support of business
which creates jobs and opportunities for all
3. Traditional values to support the family as the foundation of a stable
society
John has represented various apparel companies over the 40 years of Parrott
& Associates, Inc. He has traveled extensively within his work. He has also
served on various bank boards since 1980.
He and his family have lived in McLean County since 1984.
John enjoys his role in the McLean County Republican Party where he works hard
to get people of strong character and principle elected to serve McLean County.

Hello Fellow Republicans!
It
is very important that the McLean County Republican Party keep up our efforts
from 2010. In just a few months candidates will file to run in the 2012
election. All 20 County Board members and 4 county wide elected
officials will be up for election. There are four state representatives,
Dan Brady, Jason Barickman, Bill Mitchell, and Keith Sommer and 2 state
senators who represent all or part of McLean County, including our own
Bill Brady and newly appointed Shane Cultra. All of them depend on our
organization.
Together
we will re-elect those responsible Republicans and increase our majority on the
County Board. But to do that, we need your support and help today.

In 2011, my goals are to
identify good candidates and to build a strong, grassroots organization of
